THE ruling Patriotic Front (PF) in North-Western province has called on Government to expedite works on the township roads in Solwezi.

PF Provincial Youth chairperson Jackson Kungo told the Daily Nation in an interview that Government should consider working on the township roads in the district.

He explained that township roads in the district were in a deplorable state, hence there was need to be worked on.

“We want to appeal to our Government to look at the plight of the people in the district by working on the roads,” he said.

He said most of the roads in the district were slowly becoming impassable, hence the need to work on them.

“The same way roads in other towns are being worked on, that’s the same way roads in Solwezi should be done,” he added.

Meanwhile, the provincial chief has disclosed that his party has embarked on a membership recruitment exercise in the province ahead of the 2021 general elections.

“You know, politics is about numbers, and so we are not sitting idle. We have gone flat out recruiting members,” he said.
