THE UPND on the Copperbelt says it is ready and willing to work with the Government in the fight against the corona virus pandemic.
UPND Copperbelt Provincial Vice Chairperson Ronald Maninga told the Daily Nation that ministers and councillors were free to include the opposition party in all programmes aimed at eliminating the pandemic.
Mr Maninga said it was the time for politicians regardless of their political affiliations to come together and fight the common cause for the benefit of the country.
He was speaking in an interview with the Daily Nation in Kitwe yesterday.
“We are ready and open to discuss this matter and help Government to disseminate information on the pandemic to the people out there.
“We are called to service and Government leaders on the Copperbelt should feel free to tell us if they want to use us in any way regarding the matter,” he said.
He said he had noticed that many people lacked information on the pandemic, stating that the fight could be won if all the leaders worked together.
