MUSICIANS D-Bwoy Telem and Shenky Shugar have doubled their efforts to release a new single dubbed ‘ Corona’ in an effort to increase awareness on the deadly Covid-19 that has spread worldwide.
Speaking in an interview to mark the release of the song produced by Shenky, Telem said there is power in music and it is the easiest way to communicate important messages.
He said as a musician, he felt the need to address Covid-19 in a song to constantly remind people on the need to take measures seriously.
Evidently, the song gives a guide on what to do and not to do regarding the disease. It opens with Shenky prominently doing the singing on most verses while Telem comes in on a rap verse. The two are known for aggressive dance and club hits but have taking a laid-back approach on this new single to ensure the messages gets across.
Shenky admits that Covid-19 has affected everyone and it is no surprise that it should be our everyday topic.
He says musicians must continue to use their talent in this period to transmit positive messages in order to serve lives. The song is available on various social media networks.
