MUSHINDAMO District Commissioner Benson Ngambo, is upset with health personnel at Saint Dorothy Clinic for failing to distribute insecticide-treated mosquito nets and chlorine.

This is despite the government allocating over 30,000 mosquito nets to the district including chlorine, which are all locked up at the health institution meant for combating malaria and cholera respectively.

This came to light during a stakeholders’ meeting held at St Dorothy Clinic at the weekend.

Members of the community wondered why the mosquito nets and chlorine were still being kept instead of distributing them to the people.

This angered Mr Ngambo who warned management at the health institution to start distributing the mosquito nets and chlorine failure to which erring officers would be slapped with disciplinary charges. ‘’These items are meant for the community around this area and no one has powers to keep them in their houses or in their offices. And that is why they were allocated to this place,’’ Mr Ngambo said.

‘’With immediate effect let these be distributed to the people they are meant for them,’’ he directed.
