Top 4 finish possible – Power

By GRACE CHAILE LESOETSA
COACH Perry Mutapa believes there is still all to play for in the race for a top four finish and refused to rule out the chance of Power Dynamos mounting a late charge in the Super Division.
In an interview, Mutapa admitted that the Covid-19 virus would have an effect on the players’ physical fitness.
He however said the six-time league champions where not the only ones affected so there will be no excuse for bad results in the remaining 10 games once the league resumes.
Mutapa insisted that Power despite being placed in eighth position with 37 points, nine points behind leaders Forest Rangers, can still find their way into the top four bracket.
“The top four position is still open, any team starting from the 11th position still has a chance of getting there.
Power Dynamos can’t be ruled out, we still have a chance and I believe it is possible. But that will call for serious planning and hard work from each player because our other opponents are also saying the same thing. What will be important is not to drop points,” he said.
Mutapa said the technical bench was doing everything to ensure the players adhere to individual training sessions.
“We have to ensure the players do not completely lose fitness. Although it’s difficult to deal with individual training but so far, the players are coping,” he said.
Power last won the league title in 2011.
