Ignore divisive elements – PF official

By AARON CHIYANZO
GENUINE Patriotic Front (PF) members should ignore shenanigan elements that want to cause confusion in the ruling party, PF official Lemmy Bwalya has advised.
Mr Bwalya said intra-party elections should not cause divisions and that the party leadership should come up with a plan to ensure that everyone was brought on board.
He observed that the party had now been divided into different factions because of claims that intra-party elections were not free and fair.
He said, therefore, that the party should come together and form a united front in good time to mobilise for the 2021 elections.
Mr Bwalya urged genuine PF members to ignore shenanigan elements that wanted to sow seeds of discord.
“Shunning all sorts of negative elements and precisely, refusing any seed of discord which has been planted by self-centred people is the way to go.
“As a PF official and aspiring district and provincial chairman respectively, it will be my task to confer with the top leadership to consider expanding the party by removing the unprecedented levels of hatred and divisions inculcated in the grassroots through intra – party elections.
Mr Bwalya said considering the high population of Lusaka province, it would be wise to incorporate even those that still felt the elections were not free and fair by constituting another wing of 24 officials, bringing the total to 48 executive officials.
He said the coming up of an additional organ would put a distinction between administration and political wings of the party for operations.
“There will be a great revival in the party, if those frustrated by intra party can be brought in either dimensions, as political or administrative executives,” Mr Bwalya said.
