NO WIND OF CHANGE, SAYS MWANAWASA

By PETER SICHALI

THERE is no wind of change in Thursday’s elections because PF and President Lungu have laid a solid foundation for the prosperity of this nation, says former Central Province Deputy Permanent Secretary Patrick Mwanawasa.

And Mr Mwanawasa said Zambians are eager to reap the benefits of this hard working government Mr Mwanawasa who is also former son of former President Levy Mwanawasa has dismissed claims by the United Party for National Development that there is a wind of change in the nation, as mere hallucinations. “I am 39 years old and have witnessed eight elections and uncountable by-elections, therefore I know what wind of change looks like,” Mr Mwanawasa said. He said he knew exactly what a wind of change looked like because he had seen it in 1991 and in 2011.

Mr Mwanawasa said even dogs and chickens felt the wind of change during those two historic moments. Mr Mwanawasa said that it was not the case this time as he had traversed the nation and could confidently say that the Patriotic Front and President Lungu were still very popular on the ground and loved by the Zambian people.

Mr Mwanawasa said President Lungu had laid down an admirable development agenda for the nation by prioritizing infrastructure development such as building of roads , bridges , schools and hospitals during the first term of office . He said this was a strong foundation for more money in people’s pockets which would be a reality in his next five years of governance.
