We are down but not out, we shall conquer says Cecilia Mwila Banda in her song titled One Day.

Cecilia who is also a medical practitioner said she thought of coming up a song to give hope to the World amid Covid-19 pandemic.

She said she looked at how much panic there was where people were asking if life will ever get back to normal.

“My love for music started at the age of 12 just when I discovered I could sing. And since then have been singing in church. Am a songwriter and I have also helped other artists as a backing vocalist”

“I thought of a song that will remind people to continue trusting in God and hope for better days. One Day is a song that talks about hope. So basically the song is just giving people hope for a better tomorrow.

“Apart from singing am in the medical field and I love my work very much.

Am also a poet, have written a number of poems that I had chance to even present with a very close friend of mine (Natasha’s Mbaso) on ZNBC and Muvi TV” said Cecilia.

She urged people to adhere to the health guidelines that have been put in place as preventive measures.

“As a medical personnel, I will say we need to adhere to all measures that are being given.

The public need to work together with us to stop this pandemic (Covid-19), we have all seen how deadly it can be. This pandemic does not choose race or social status.

Let’s not take it casual it’s a little price we have to pay for our lives. Also the public should always remember to pray for the front line workers for protection,” urged Cecilia.
