UPND leader, Hakainde Hichilema, is choking with bitterness of the commitment Government has exhibited towards reducing poverty and hardships among citizens, says PF Mandevu Constituency secretary Lemmy Bwalya.

Mr Bwalya wondered what the role of the opposition party was in misinterpreting the Bemba saying “Ubomba Mwibala alya mwibala” translated as he who works in the garden reaps and eats from the field.

In an interview yesterday, the PF leader charged that the UPND did not have a constructive agenda and challenged the opposition party to prove to Zambians whether their manifesto was something to reckon with.

Mr Bwalya said the people of Zambia were no longer interested in petty issues but rather what the opposition party was to offer in terms of national development.

“Mr Hichilema, is stuck at the choke point, the place where one cannot move forward or back ward in his political journey as such, he has opted to champion other causes instead of offering checks and balances to the government,” he said.

He further charged that the opposition UPND leader had become a frustrated politician after noticing that the ruling party had a sound manifesto which covered what the UPND and other opposition political parties intended to offer citizens.

Mr Bwalya has begged the UPND top leadership to school Mr Hichilema so that he accepts that his chances of winning an election were long gone and that the infrastructure developments the PF has prioritised were here to stay.

He urged his colleagues in the opposition parties who had little hope that the opposition were well-meaning to come back and be part of the big PF family and analyse issues together for the betterment of citizens.
