HIS Grace, Archbishop Dr Alick Banda of Lusaka Diocese has said the State revoked its call out to Catholic priest, Father Chewe Mukosa for questioning and possible arrest for hate speech because of the fear of the repercussions that would have resulted from their action.
And the Church mother bodies, the Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ), Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) and Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB) have vowed that they shall resist any attempts by the UPND government to silence the clergy, discredit their message or interfere with their ability to carry out their mission.
