NAPSA Stars coach Tenant Chilumba says his team is focused on ending the season in the top four position in the 2017 MTN/FAZ Super Division soccer season.

Speaking after his team humbled Forest Rangers 1-0 in a Week 8 fixture at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Sunday in Ndola, Chilumba said Napsa will not relax despite having collected two consecutive wins.

Chilumba said collecting maxim points in each game was crucial for the pensioners as they seek to attain their top four position on the league table.

“First of all let me congratulate both teams for playing a good game. Rangers did well and were tactical in the second half and so were my boys. We did not score a lot of goals in today’s game but it’s good that we collected maximum points.

“We won’t relax. We just have to remain focused. We will concentrate on the top four position in the league,” Chilumba said.

Meanwhile, Forest Rangers head coach Perry Mutapa expressed displeasure with his team’s performance in the game against Napsa Stars.

Mutapa said his boys lost concentration, hence the reason why they lost the Week 8.

“We were playing at home and the players should have remained focused. It’s unfortunate that we conceded in the early stages of the game and a draw would have been a better result for us,” Mutapa said.

“We were under pressure in the first half and the boys did not take the chances we created during the game.

“Napsa was on top of the game but we played well in the second half and could have scored some goals,” he added.

After collecting maximum six points in the last two fixtures, Napsa will play Red Arrows in a Lusaka derby while Forest Rangers will date Choma’s Green Eagles in Southern Province.
