Five murder accused committed to High Court

FIVE Lusaka men charged with murder and aggravated robbery, have been committed to the High Court for trial.
Director of Public Persecutions has issued instructions to commit to the High Court, Penias Nkosiya 34 a salesman of kabanana, Fred Banda 29 a butcher man of Kabanana, Byness Kabwe 30 an Airtel money agent of Kabanana, George Kabwe 47 a marketeer of Kabanana and Steven Phiri 27 a Airtel money agent of SOS for murder and aggravate robbery.
The five appeared before Lusaka magistrate Nsunge Chanda for explanation of the murder and aggravated robbery charges.
The five are charged with 21 counts of murder and aggravated robbery.
In count one, Penias Nkosiya is accused of aggravated robbery.
It is alleged that on October 6 2019,Nkosiya with others unknown and armed with a weapon did steal a cellphone and assorted items worth K3,445 from Astridah Mweemba.
In count two, it is alleged that Nkosiya in the company of others did murder Elina Mweemba on October 23, last year.
In count three, it is alleged that George Kabwe, Nkosiya and Phiri with others unknown did murder Eunice Mukosiya on October 26, last year.
In count four, it is alleged that George Kabwe, Nkosiya and Phiri between October 24 and October 25 murdered Clement Nkuzu while in count five, Nkosiya between November 18 and November 19 2029 allegedly murdered Maureen Kasuni.
