Mpezeni woos support for Lungu

By OLIVER SAMBOKO
EASTERN Province must give President Edgar Lungu a 100 percent vote in next year’s elections for development to continue, Paramount Chief Mpezeni of the Ngoni people has said.

The Paramount Chief said under President Lungu, the province had received massive development.
The traditional leader was speaking when PF national mobilisation treasurer, Bizwell Mutale, paid a courtesy call on him at Ephendukeni Palace in Chipata.
He said the people in the region should ensure they acquire voters’ cards and vote en masse to secure the PF victory because of the development underway.
Chief Mpezeni said the current Government had performed very well and that the country would lose direction by allowing the opposition to win elections next year.
The traditional leader said the rumours that the opposition had made some inroads in the region were just a fallacy.
“In fact I get surprised when I hear that some opposition party has made inroads in Eastern Province,” he said.
And Mr Mutale said he was in the area to mobilise the party and ensure that it consolidates the support in the province.
