Copper Queens game for COSAFA

By MICHAEL MIYOBA
ZAMBIA national women soccer team coach Bruce Mwape has declared his charges ready for the Cosafa 2020 senior Women’s Championship set to kick off on November 4th in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

Speaking before departure for South Africa yesterday, Mwape said the girls have experience to deliver the title this year.
Mwape said his team’s target was to win the title after finishing as runners up last year.
“We are ready because we have done all it takes to prepare for the tournament and I do believe the girls will do well because most of them are not participating in this tournament for the first time.
Meanwhile, Mwape named a final 20-member squad for the Cosafa 2020 senior Women’s Championship. Mwape has also drafted China based Barbara Banda who is on the books of Shanghai Shengli and who is expected to lead the Copper Queens attack.
