Tame violent cadres, says Veep

By SILUMESI MALUMO
VICE President Inonge Wina says all political parties must discipline their supporters as the country heads for the presidential and general elections next year.

Ms Wina said it was important to ensure that peace prevailed in the country.
Ms Wina said in Parliament yesterday during the Vice President’s question time that political parties should at all cost discipline erring cadres.
She said the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) had led the way in ensuring that members involved in violent acts were disciplined.
Ms Wina said to that effect, some members of the ruling party were in the courts of the law for breaking the law.
She encouraged other political parties to follow suit for the country to be peaceful.
Ms Wina said it was the duty of political party leaders to encourage good morals in members so that any form of disunity could be curbed in the country.
“As political party leaders we need to ensure that the party cadres are disciplined. We need at all cost to ensure that our party members stop engaging in illegal activities.
