Minister of Religious Affairs Godfridah Sumaili, Attorney General Likando Kalaluka, Patriotic Front deputy secretary-general Mumbi Phiri, Nkoloma ward councillor Tasila Lungu-Mwansa, were among the hundreds of mourners who attended the burial.

And Zambia Police Service has thanked Mr Nsama’s family for interring their beloved one in a dignified manner without causing any mayhem following his death on Wednesday.

Police spokesperson Esther Katongo however called on the family of the late Joseph Kaunda whose burial was scheduled for today to emulate the family of Mr Nsama to have their departed relative buried in a respectful manner and allow the investigations in the matter to be concluded.

Ms Katongo said, police had received information that some people were planning to cause confusion and attack named public places under the guise of mourning.

“We therefore advise all those wishing to cause mayhem to reconsider their intention as enough police officers have been deployed to ensure that there is no breakdown in law and order during this period,” said Ms Katongo.
