Stakeholders have demanded that President Edgar Lungu should release the contents of the report to the public on the shooting of prosecutor Nsama Nsama and UPND supporter Joseph Kaunda.

Yesterday President Edgar Lungu disclosed that he had received a report from Inspector General of Police Kakoma Kanganja on the shootings and that he handed it over to the Director of Public Prosecutions DPP for action.

Nsama andJoseph Kaunda were killed on 23rd December 2020 when UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema was being interrogated at the Police Service Headquarters.

Movement for Multiparty Democracy-MMD Spokesperson Cephas Mukuka says the Zambian people deserve to know on what happened on that fateful day.

Dr Mukuka says democracy demands of transparency and accountability among several other rules and regulations.

Civil Society Constitutional Agenda CiSCA chairperson Judith Mulenga says the people of Zambia and the families to the two deceased persons deserve to know what is contained in the report.

Ms Mulenga says this is important because some reports submitted in the past have not received any action despite being of national interest.
