THE United Party for National Development (UPND) leaders are desperate for a sympathy vote, the reason they blame Gvernment all the time, says Patriotic Front (PF) Copperbelt chairman, Nathan Chanda.

Mr. Chanda said in an interview that it was unfortunate that the UPND has become accustomed to portioning blame on the Government whenever the country is faced with a natural disaster such as drought, floods and the COVID-19.

He said the UPND leaders are not happy that the country has recorded good rainfall because their prayer was to have poor rains so that they could blame Government.

“The UPND wants a sympathy vote, from indication they are upset with the proper rain patten, Iam sure Hakainde Chilema is in denial and very shocked because he was praying and fasting that it doesn’t rain so that Zambia can have a feminine for him to pull a few votes,” he said.

Mr. Chanda said it was unfortunate that the UPND thrives on anything bad about Zambia to get the sympathy vote.

He advised the UPND to use their manifesto to convince Zambians to vote for them in the August general elections rather than wishing for a sympathy vote which was not guaranteed.
