INNOCENT ‘AMA AMALICAN TROOPS’ DENY CHARGES

Twenty three men suspected to be working with Patriotic Front (PF) cadre Innocent Kalimanshi have denied charges of possessing offensive weapons and psychotropic substances. The accused persons pleaded not guilty before Lusaka Magistrate Betty Malupenga yesterday.

In the first count they are charged with possessing one golf stick, four machetes, one face mask, and one axe without lawful authority.

In count two particulars of offence are that the accused persons trafficked in 316 grams of marijuana.

They are Joshua Chitwaka, John Zimba, Isaiah Chungu, Musonda Silwamba, Michael Kafusha, Edwin Musonda, and Moses Bwalya.

Others are William Musonda, Caleb Daka, Andrew Mutale, Ben Daka, Lackson Simfukwe, Francis Tembo, and Nzolo Peulu.

The rest are Abraham Lewenga, Peter Kakube, Joel Nyondo, Emmanuel Mwanza, William Chanda, Fernando Likombo, John Banda, Adam Chibuye, and Medson Banda. Trial starts on February 1, 2021.
