NEVERS Mumba is a political reject and we only hope he will not U-turn from the church again since we hear that he has decided to go back to the pulpit, Lusaka Province PF youth chairperson Kennedy Kamba has said.

Commenting on Dr.Mumba’s decision to go back to preaching, Mr. Kamba said it was clear that “no matter how long a log floated on water, it would never be a crocodile” and that Dr. Mumba had wondered away from the eyes of God just like Jonah and needed to stick to his current decision because that was the best.

He said going by Dr. Mumba’s political history, it was clear that he was fishing in the wrong waters as he had failed to make any plausible impact in whatever he did as a politician as most of his moves were misguided and his decisions boomeranged on him.

Dr.Mumba controversially dissolved his NCC party within 24 hours and took up an appointment from late Levy Mwanawasa as vice president. Because he is a political misfit, he did not last as he was kicked out unceremoniously.

He became MMD president not long ago and again he was spit out by his own executive and that tells you a lot about the man.

“So, for us to hear that he has gone back to the church to preach the gospel is a relief because that will save him from embarrassing himself.

He has no following in political circles and only the church for now can accept him back and so, this is the best decision he has made for himself and we can only pray that he doesn’t change his position again because he is unpredictable,”

Mr. Kamba said. He said the PF wished him the best in his new life as a preacher because that was his area of speciality and that it had no doubt he could succeed.

“We wish him well if his going back to the pulpit is genuine because that is where he belongs. He was a stranger and loner on the political scene and that is why he lamentably failed. It is clear that no matter how long a log can float on water, it will never be a crocodile.
