LAWRENCE Evans, the Patriotic Front (PF) Southern Provincie chairman, has made an earnest appeal to Zambians to focus on President Edgar Lungu’s strength ahead of the August 12 polls.
Mr Evans said that President Lungu would continue with a tried and tested leadership, hence Zambians have another opportunity through the August 12 general elections to work with him.
“We are grateful and indebted to God as a Party over the manner President Lungu has presided and provided unmatched leadership during very difficult and trying times in the country’s history,” he said.
Mr Evans said President Lungu was a true and living testimony of tried and tested leadership and has stood firm, always making decisions on national matters focused on the greater good of the majority of citizens.
He said under President Lungu’s leadership, the country was making progress and averting crisis as the case in the ravaging COVID 19.
“We further wish to admire President Lungu’s leadership because he does not make kneel jerk decisions or respond to those who speak to the gallery or for mere cheap political mileage like the opposition UPND who have done so on a number of national matters with the wish that President Lungu falls for their trappings.
“We note that their perceived solutions for instance on the drought which hit the country sometime back and now the Covid 19 have been missed targets and in the long run been proved to be smoke screens and with short legs which have ended up dying natural deaths as they are mooted by day dreamers without any traceable route to leadership,” he said.
