Embattled artiste Elton Mulenga popularly known as Yo-Maps has come to aid of widows in Chakunkula ward in Munali constituency.
The “Finally” hit maker has donated 60 by 25 kilogrammes bags of breakfast mealie meal to the vulnerable women.
Chakunkula ward Councilor Smart Mwitwa who was present at that giving ceremony expressed happiness at the gesture.
Dr Mwitwa said that the effect of Covid 19 has negatively affected many woman who are marketers as they don’t sell products as they used before.
He said that it is gratifying to note that of all the places in Zambia, the artiste decided to choose Chakunkula for the donation.
Dr Mwitwa challenged other artistes to emulate Yo Maps by ploughing back to the community where they perform.
And Yo Maps said that he decided to give the woman because he appreciates the role that they play in society.
