PF vows to fight for Kabushi, Kwacha

By DORICA MBEWE

THE Patriotic Front has vowed to fight the Kwacha and Kabushi Constituency setback in which its candidates have been disqualified and that the ruling UPND should not think that they have already won as the court will be the final decision.

The Constitutional Court set September 6 and 7 as hearing and ruling dates respectively for the duo whose nominations were rejected by the Electoral Commission of Zambia to determine whether the two are eligible to contest the parliamentary seats of Kwacha and Kabushi.

PF acting president Given Lubinda said what happened in Kwacha and Kabushi is injustice, adding that the decision made by the ECZ is an injustice occasioned against two members of parliament aimed at finishing the Patriotic Front.

He has since urged Mr  Joe Malanji and Mr Bowman Lusambo to have campaigns of prayer meetings so that God can vindicate them and the members of the PF on   September 7.

He added that the PF will not go for pieces of silver at the expense of protecting the rights of vulnerable people like the UPND is doing.

Meanwhile, Mr. Lubinda added that the PF would have easily replaced Mr Lusambo and Mr Malanji which would have meant accepting the injustice that is allegedly being perpetuated by President Hakainde Hichilema on Zambians.

He said the elections are just a small fight as the battle is a battle for justice, adding that it is not only about having the seats for the PF but ensuring that justice prevails in Kwacha and Kabushi.
