A PATRIOTIC Front (PF) youth, Terence Mutale has allegedly been killed by suspected UPND cadres in Lusaka’s Kanyama area.
Angelos Musonda, PF Lusaka Central Constituency Chairman confirmed in a statement and condemned the killing of the youth by people suspected to be members of the UPND. Mr Musonda said, “On behalf of Lusaka Central Constituency we strongly condemn the killing of the PF Lusaka Central youth Terence Mutale who was killed in a gruesome murder by suspected UPND youths in Lusaka’s Kanyama township.”
He called upon the Zambia Police service to leave no stone unturned in investigating “ this heinous crime in an effort to bring the perpetrators to book.”
He also called for a strong collaboration between the police and the community in Kanyama in order to quickly arrest the culprits.
“To all the youths and political players from all political parties in Zambia, I urge you to resort to dialogue whenever faced with differences on political opinions. We can not all be looking at issues from the same perspective hence the need to respect other people’s divergent views and agree to disagree as responsible citizens of Zambia,” he said.
Police have however refused to comment on the case saying doing so would jeopardize investigations
