We’ll miss Emmanuel Mayuka, says NAPSA Stars coach Fathi

By MICHAEL MIYOBA

NAPSA Stars coach Mohamed Fathi says the team will miss top strikers Emmanuel Mayuka and Bornwel Mwape who have missed the trip to Kenya where they are scheduled to face Gor Mahia in Sunday’s CAF Confederations Cup pre group stage fixture.

Fathi said the two strikers have been sidelined because they are still recovering from their respective injuries.

Mayuka has been missing since he had a hamstring strain during NAPSA’s 2-2 draw against Forest Rangers on January 20 while strikers Bornwell Mwape is still recovering from his injury which has kept him away since last December.

Fathi is however comforted by the return of striker Laudit Mavungo who has recovered from a hamstring injury suffered during NAPSA’s clash with Indeni FC in the Super Division.

He said the Pensioners have a plan to turn the game around in Kenya where they will entertain the Green Army in Nairobi this Sunday before hosting the Kenyans on February 21 at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

Fathi said the team is motivated with the 1-0 win over Nkwazi in the FAZ Super Division and hope to get a positive result in Kenya which will motivate them ahead of the second leg in Lusaka.

He said the few challenges experienced in Kenya so far will not derail the team from achieving its targets.
