Nothing sinister about ministry search – Masebo
BY ADRIAN MWANZA
THERE is nothing sinister about investigative wings searching the Ministry of Health offices as they were looking for certain documents, says Sylvia Masebo.
Ms Masebo, who is Health Minister, said that the officers were just doing their job and that they would be concluding today (Sunday).
“People should not be alarmed with what happened on Friday and Saturday as the investigative wings were just doing their job by searching the premises,’’ she said.
Ms Masebo said that the move was not a witch-hunt but officers were looking for certain information at the ministry.
Meanwhile Green Party president Peter Sinkamba said that the police needed to be given an opportunity to do their job without interference from anyone.
Mr Sinkamba said that as long as the police were professional and not interfering with people’s rights then there was nothing to worry about.
There are so many answers that people need and for now let us give these people time to do their job professionally so that Zambians can have closure,’’ he said.
Mr Sinkamba said that he supported the move and that it should not be deemed as a witch-hunt but allow the law to take its course.
