DJs 800, Creejay grace SOS Day

Local award-winning music spinners DJ 800 and DJ Creejay last Friday joined pupils and students from SOS Children’s Villages Hermann Gmeiner School in Lusaka for the celebration of SOS Day.

This is an annual day dedicated to the founder of the SOS Children’s Villages worldwide. For this reason, the two DJs plus musician Magu graced the occasion as guest artistes on an event that was characterized by music, dance, and poetry and modelling.

The celebrations were all child-centred and engaged children from the various facilities at SOS to offer different forms of entertainment.

This later made the two DJs to play music and mixes to a happy and motivated audience. They later interacted with some of the children who showed admiration at their music mixing skill and dedication.

And Speaking after the event, DJ 800 said he was happy to be associated with the celebrations at SOS Children’s Villages as it was his goal to work with organisations that doing a lot to nature children.

“We as artistes believe that there are a lot of young people that look up to us and when we have a chance to mingle with them, we must take up the challenge. My friend Creejay and I have a group called the ‘Music Assassins’ and we love working with young people who have an interest in music. It was a great honour to be here at SOS,” said DJ 800 whose real name is Aaron Mkandawire. The two DJs were also accompanied by DJ Beat Mesaya who played a background role most of the time.
