MP aids vulnerable pupil

By ANDREW MUKOMA

SINAZONGWE Member of Parliament Gift Sialubalo has come to the aid of a 19-year-old boy who was in need of financial support to continue his education.

Mr Sialubalo has contributed of K 5, 000 towards Titus Siamungunga Siampaka who has been struggling with support to continue with education.

The boy from Munzuma, has been failing to proceed to Grade 8 even after passing the Grade 7 exams with flying colours.

Due to lack of financial support, Siampaka was made to rewrite Grade 7 twice despite passing with excellent results but could not go to grade eight at Maamba Secondary School.

The boy’s predicament was discovered by journalists last year during the independence cerebrations held in Munzuma.

Since then, a few individuals had been promising to help while others had not fulfilled their promises.

However, Mr Sialubalo has stepped in to ensure the boy attains his education.

Siampaka has been enrolled at Nkandabbwe Basic School in Sinazeze.

Gwembe Valley Must Develop advocate Winter Muvombo confirmed the development to the Daily Nation in Livingstone.

“Early this month the boy lost the step-father by the name of Alex Siampaka leaving the boy and the widow without hope of getting back to class.

“We are thankful to the office of the councillor Charles Ntiiti, Council Chairperson Alick Muleya and the Gift Sialubalo for the gesture, this is how it should be in the Christian Nation,” Mr Muvombo said.
