HAKAINDE HICHILEMA IS DIFFICULT TO WORK WITH, SAYS GBM

By SILUMESI MALUMO

IT is difficult to work with Hakainde Hichilema because of his selfish desire, Patriotic Front (PF) deputy national chairperson for mobilisation Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba has said.

He once served as the UPND vice president for administration.

Mr Mwamba said in an interview that when he talked about his experience with Mr Hichilema, people only thought that he wanted to dent his name.

Mr Mwamba, popularly known as GBM, said “the things I’ve been telling the Zambian people are facts, he is my brother but his conduct and behaviour is uncalled for.

“What is happening in the Opposition Alliance, he said, is a clear testimony of what has been said about him.”

Mr Mwamba said “My brother Hakainde Hichilema only wants to use people then dump them. The only thing he want is to be in State House.

“When one has such behaviour towards others then it is very difficult to work with him. Some of us when we joined UPND we thought it was a good decision without knowing his character.

What made I who was his vice president and many others, the likes of Richard Kapita to leave the UPND was because of his selfish leadership.

“To say the truth Hakainde Hichilema is not the right person for the Presidency because of being greedy,” Mr Mwamba said.

Recently, the Opposition Alliance decided to name the alliance as UPND Alliance and settled on Mr Hichilema to be its Presidential candidate.

It also decided that all members who want to contest for the parliamentary and local government general elections would field on the UPND Alliance ticket.

This has caused infighting among the alliance members, with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) expelling its president, Mr Chishimba Kambwili, who rejected the decision.
