North West PF dissolves 2 committees

By Nation Reporter THE ruling Patriotic Front (PF) in North-Western Province has dissolved some committees that were formed prior to the August 11 general elections. Among the committees that have been dissolved are the mobilisation committee led by Mr Lubasi Yuyi. PF provincial disciplinary committee chairperson Jackson Kungo announced the dissolution of the two committees at a media briefing at the party offices in Solwezi.

He said the two committees were formed for the purposes of the elections and now that elections were over they all stood to be dissolved. “On behalf of the party in the province, I wish to announce that some committees which were formed during the general elections have been dissolved, starting from the province up to ward level,’’  he said.

He explained that the decision to dissolve the two committees was made by the PF central committee in October after the general elections but that  some people who were appointed in the said committees  continued functioning. He has thanked the people that held various positions in the two committees for the wonderful work they put in during the general elections.

He said that the party still recognised them and that PF would continue to work with them. Meanwhile, Mr Kungo announced the charging of some party officials in Kalumbila district for gross indiscipline. He said among the officials that have been charged are the district chairman Emmanuel Weshu, district chairlady Ruth Nakamba, district vice treasurer Leonard Chambola, youth district chairman Alex Kabondo, constituency chairman Lucky Kalituta and his vice Patrick Mutamfu. “These officials are charged for gross indiscipline and their case is pending for hearing.  So I wish to announce to the general membership of the party that the above mentioned officials stand charged until they are heard by the highest organ in the province,’’  he said.
