GOVERNMENT has upgraded Kasapa primary school to a fully fledged secondary school in Mushindamo district.

Meanwhile, government has set aside over K200,000 for the construction of a 1×3 classroom block at the same school.  Mushindamo district commissioner Benson Ngambo says the objective of the programme is in line with the PF manifesto of bringing secondary education closer to the people.

“So, the issue of pupils that qualify to secondary going to far away places is a thing of the past,” Mr Ngambo.

The district commissioner was speaking when he addressed members of the community at St Dorothy.

He said government is committed to provide quality education to it’s citizenry.

He said president lungu attaches great importance to education.  He discouraged parents against marrying off their children especially girls at the tender age.

And Mr Ngambo has disclosed that government has set aside funds to construct a 1×3 classroom block at the newly upgraded Kasapa secondary school.

He said government is committed to improve school infrastructure not just in Mushindami but all the districts in the country.

“As I am saying, the funds are in the school account and works will be starting soon,” he said.
