PUBLIC places in Ndola will have more buckets and liquid soap after a donation from Leaving No One Behind Foundation to prevent the coronavirus.
Leaving No One Behind Chief Executive Officer, Warren Mwambazi, donated 50 buckets and liquid soaps to Itawa and Ndeke clinics, a taxi rank in Ndeke, Ndeke Market, Ndeke Police Post and other public places.
In an interview, Mr Mwambazi said the foundation wanted to partner with Government to curb the corona virus (Covid19).
He stated that places like the clinics, police and markets were high traffic places that needed all the help to ensure good hygiene practices.
Mr Mwambazi urged members of the public to adhere to the laid down measures in order to curb the virus that had afflicted the world at large.
And Ndeke Clinic acting in Charge, Rozaria Chilwa, said she was grateful for the donation from the foundation.
Sister Chilwa said the bucket and hand soap would go a long way stating that with the population in the area, what the clinic had was not enough.
Vice chairlady for Ndeke Market, Given Chande, the practice of good hygiene was being followed.
Ms Chande however lamented that some traders were selling outside the market and therefore called on the Ndola City Council to look into the matter.
And Martin Lungu, a taxi driver, said that the foundation was the first to move in to sensitise taxi drivers on good hygiene.
Mr Lungu said the donation was highly commendable as taxi drivers were always transporting different groups of people, handled money and travelled in various locations.
