NKANA’S PRIDE AT STAKE, AS THEY ENTERTAIN KABWE WARRIOR IN KITWE

By MICHAEL MIYOBA

FANS are in for a treat as a humbled Nkana, humiliated with a 3-0 bashing by city rivals Power Dynamos at the weekend take on “Magnificent’ Kabwe Warriors.

Nkana need to win this Week-20 MTN/FAZ Super Division fixture billed for Nkana Stadium to show their fans that there is still some fight in the defending champions.

It is another tough test for the 13-time Super Division winners Nkana who have struggled in the first round of the season.

Having beaten Kabwe Warriors 1-0 in a week-3 fixture played in Kabwe, the Kelvin Kaindu tutored Kalampa will target to complete a double on the five-time Super Division champions.

But despite being the favourites, Nkana will have to work hard to complete a double over Warriors who are unbeaten in the last seven league games.

Warriors are seventh on the Super Division table with 28 points and will be looking for a fourth win this year to move into the top four.

Meanwhile, Zanaco’s quest to reclaim top position on the Super Division table continues as they face Nkwazi in a Lusaka derby slated for Nkoloma Stadium.

After dropping points in the previous game against Green Eagles following a 1-1 draw, Chris Kaunda leads the Bankers as they take on his former club in a lunchtime kick off.

And after drawing 1-1 with Nkwazi in the two teams’ first meeting this season, Kaunda said his boys will fight for a win as they need the points to move to the top.

A win over Nkwazi will open a two-point lead for the Bankers who trail Zesco United with a point as they are second with 33 points.

Meanwhile, Forest Rangers will seek redemption when they take on Lusaka Dynamos in the second fixture of the double header at Nkoloma Stadium.

Coming from 3-0 upset by Zesco United in a Ndola derby played on Sunday, Forest Rangers will need to show a lot of character to come out of Nkoloma Stadium with a positive result against a confident Lusaka Dynamos.

Meanwhile, after their 3-0 demolition of Nkana, Power Dynamos visit Ndola for a date with Buildcon while Indeni will host struggling Kitwe United at Indeni Sports complex.

Rejuvenated Napsa Stars travel to Kafue to face Young Green Eagles at Khosa Stadium after beating Lusaka Dynamos in their last league game,

At Choma’s Independence Stadium, Green Eagles host Green Buffaloes in another clash of the titans.

Today’s fixtures:

Nkwazi v Zanaco

Lusaka Dynamos v Forest Rangers

Buildcon v Power Dynamos

Young Green Eagles v Napsa Stars

Indeni v Kitwe United

Nkana v Kabwe Warriors

Tomorrow:
