KELVIN Bwalya Fube is not eligible to contest any position in the Patriotic Front at its convention because he is not eligible, PF Secretary-General Davies Mwila has said.

Mr. Mwila said only PF members are eligible to contest positions.

He said in an interview that Mr. Fube, popularly known as KBF would not be allowed to contest because he does not belong to PF after being expelled.

“All members of the party will be allowed to stand but Mr. Fube is not eligible because he was expelled from,” Mr Mwila said.

Last year the PF Central Committee expelled Mr Fube from the party.

According to a letter of expulsion which was delivered to Mr. Fube by PF Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri and seen by the media, the Central Committee held a meeting on June 2, 2020 where it expelled him from the party.

This was according to a letter which was signed by Mr Mwila copied to President Edgar Lungu, Vice President Inonge Wina, National Chairperson, Chairperson Disciplinary Committee and Provincial Chairman for Lusaka.

And the Zambian for Unity Peace and Development (ZUPED) has charged that Mr Fube is an alarmist who should not be allowed to come close to the instruments of power.

ZUPED president, Mary Ngoma, said that the sentiments attributed to Mr Fube’s threats, when he featured on Muvi TV, to spill the beans in court about PF were intolerable.
