SUPER Division side Buildcon yesterday kicked off their three week intensive training camp ahead of the 2018 league which kicks-off on March 17.

The team arrived in Harare on Wednesday and is expected to play a number of friendlies with Zimbabwean clubs.

Buildcon is the third Zambian team to camp in Zimbabwe after Zanaco and Nkana.

Head coach Arena Gulgleimo is confident the team would be adequately prepared after the three-week camping.

“We will use the camping to adequately prepare for a good season. The 2018 objective is to win the title and qualify for continental competitions,” Gulgleimo said.

He urged the players to work hard to earn a place in the first 11.

Meanwhile, club president Moses Mubanga said the club management would ensure the team received maximum support in their quest for a maiden Super League title.

Buildcon finished the 2017 season on ninth position with 55 points.

The notables in the team include former TP Mazembe striker Given Singuluma, Ugandan Abubakar Kasule, Chanda Mushili, Isaac Shamujompa and Burkinabe Emmanuel Gora.
