Tame responses to HH lies annoying

Dear Editor

Time has come for the Government and indeed the PF to be serious, resolute and determined in their responses to the lies and defamation by such people as Kambwili and HH.

You even have people like Pilato who has run away from the country in fear of criminal proceedings brought against him, now pontificating the same negative language that HH and Kambwili have been spreading.

HH must be put to strict proof for his lies that President Edgar Lungu wanted to sell game parks. This is a hideous lie that must be dealt with firmly and decisively.

It is not enough to deny the story, the person must be taken to court to prove it.

There is a very disturbing tone used by HH and Kambwili. They obviously do not accept the fact that President Lungu is their leader, they would rather they were the Head of state.

The Government should be mindful that these people have some kind of following which believes them without question. They do not accept the remonstrations from Government, dismissing them as mere rhetoric intended to hoodwink them.

On one hand they will accept that President Lungu is travelling extravagantly and on the other criticise him for not attending the African Union in Addis. These are the same people who do not mean well at all.

Let the newly rejuvenated media team start a serious campaign of rebuttal which must include naming and shaming perpetrators of lies and innuendo.

They must scout the social media and bring to task those who are in the habit of spreading falsehoods.

If need be Zambia must seek the extradition of  Pilato from South Africa to come and face his day in court like anybody else. It is not enough to run away and claim to be in fear of cadres who wpouls have killed him. How many people have been killed for dissenting voices.

These lies must be dealt with firmly otherwise the perception of Zambia as a basket case will overtake us in spite of the tremendous work that the country has achieved thus far.

Weed out fake prophets, pastors

Dear Editor,

It is possible we could be in the End Times because how else do you explain some of our men and women of God wicked activities in the communities?

A day hardly passes without hearing about a man of God either defiling a child, committing adultery, stealing other people’s properties or indeed being involved in drug trafficking. The list is somehow endless.

Some of them even have the cheek of calling themselves prophets or prophetesses. Do they know the real meaning behind those titles?

It is quite shocking that today every Jim and Jill, probably after smoking cannabis, have decided to give them such momentous holy titles without understanding their tasks.

Even in the old biblical days when God regularly spoke to his people, there were a handful prophets and prophetesses and that was for a virtuous reason.

For those who may not know the functions of the prophets and prophetesses please hear me today.

Prophets and prophetesses are people who are chosen to speak for God by divine inspiration. They are teachers and proclaimers of the will of God.

In short, a prophet is a person who is believed to be chosen by God to say the things that God wants to tell people. A prophet is someone who predicts that something will happen in the future.

So such titles have to be earned through sanctity, chastity, doing the works and will of the Lord and living a holy life among others.

These people are not supposed to be running churches because that it not their calling.

They are supposed to be spending most of their time praying and speaking to God and deliver His messages to the people.

Even warnings of calamities such as droughts, fall army worms, famines, etc are supposed to be communicated from God to the people through prophets and prophetesses.

But because they are not pure in their hearts despite those titles, God does not speak to them hence their involvement in sinful activities. Of course God has already judged them.

Can you imagine just for a second someone calling himself a prophet raping a church member using the Holy Bible? A case in point is Chongwe Prophet Derrick Zulu who has been expelled from church for drugging and raping a church member. Quite revolting!

I wish therefore to call on the religious affairs ministry and the three church mother bodies to seriously look into this matter so that they can flushing out fake church leaders.

Just who gives these fellows such heavy holy titles?

Opposition in Zambia has died a natural death

Dear Editor,

To state that the opposition in Zambia has gone to the hyenas is an understatement because it simply does not exist at all.

Why do I say this? Because all what our opposition leaders see and talk about are insults and hate speeches against those in power.

When they should have been offering checks and balances, they are busy, like Hakainde Hichilema of UPND, Mike Mulongoti of the People’s Party, insulting President Edgar Lungu day and night as if he married their mothers.

As for HH perhaps one can understand the acrimony because he knows just too well that he will never rule Zambia for understandable reasons.

So all he can do is spew gibberish which cannot even win him a medal at a low-level village competition.

The fact that he has lost crucial elections five times does not help matters either and he will always speak with a foot stuck in his mouth.

He is so much in love with abhorrence that he has completely lost his political direction ad vomits whatever comes to his debauched head.

Invectives which he has chosen will not take him to State House. He will be fretting until he registers his sixth loss which appears inevitable.

Zambians want ideas which can uplift their lives through serious poverty reduction programmes.

That is why even brownnosers like Chishimba Kambwili have the guts to form up a political party because they have seen a big hole in the opposition kind of politics.

But unfortunately, him too, has taken a dreadful route of accusing the ruling party of corruption after he questioningly amassed wealth through it.

The other opposition parties are not worth wasting time on because they are already in a big political abyss.

So all those who had placed their hopes on some of these opposition parties to unseat PF, had better think again.

The opposition in our country went with the wind!
