THE opposition has nothing better to offer because there are a group of failed political individuals, says Government spokesperson Kampamba Mulenga.
Ms Mulenga said it was because they had nothing to offer to Zambians that they had resorted to accusing President Edgar Lungu of being foreign,
She said the opposition was just trying to discredit the Presidents’ name because they had failed, to point to any misgiving by the Head of state who was delivering on his campaign promises.
She told the Daily Nation that the opposition parties who were busy calling the president a foreigner were just ranting and their noise had no substance.
“The president is a Zambian and people should not listen to these people that do not have anything better to say, President Lungu is not the first to be accused, in fact all the past presidents have been accused of being foreigners,” she said.
She further denied allegations by the opposition that government was corrupt, saying that the people peddling the accusations were bitter and failed people.
She however clarified that no minister had been mentioned in the auditor general’s report for misappropriation of funds.
