Angry opposition members of parliament from both the MMD and UPND  walked out of parliament and marched to State House to protest the arrest and detention of MMD president Dr Nevers Mumba.

The MPs went to seek an audience with President Michael Sata to demand the immediate release of Dr Mumba and other party members but were denied access to the head of state.

And former PF General Secretary Edward Mumbi was by yesterday still in police custody after he was arrested for Intercontinental Hotel where Plain clothes Policemen trailed him.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that he will be charged with Money Laundering and possible failure to account for eight motor vehicles and four properties he has inLusaka.

The arrest apparently follows his refusal to hold a Press briefing to denounce and label UPND a tribal party.

Prior to elections Mr. Mumbi, accused President Michael Sata of receiving US $ 100 000 through Dr. Rajan Mahtani Finance Bank to fund Change Life Zambia Executive Director Frank Bwalya’s Anti-government campaigns.
