PATRIOTIC Front secretary general Davies Mwila has challenged National Democratic Congress political consultant Chishimba Kambwili to publicly deny sending emissaries to plead with President Edgar Lungu to take him back in the ruling party.

Mr Mwila wondered why Mr Kambwili was sending NDC secretary general Mwenya Musenge to respond on his behalf when he could easily deny it if it was not true.

“The secretary general of NDC should ask Chishimba Kambwili, why is it that he has kept quiet? He has failed to respond. And it is only Mr Musenge who is responding.

Let him ask the NDC consultant if I am lying. What we are saying is true and we ask Chishimba Kambwili to deny that,” he said.

However, the NDC has refuted reports that Mr Kambwili has been seeking forgiveness from President Lungu so that he can be reinstated in PF.

And  Central Province PF provincial youth chairperson Moses Chilando  has insisted that Mr Kambwili was not being honest as he was secretly negotiating his reinstatement in PF.

Mr Chilando in a statement yesterday challenged Mr Kambwili to deny if he has not sent emissaries to convince the Head of State to instruct parastatals such as ZESCO to pay him K5 million on the assurance that he would tone down on attacks against the PF administration.

Meanwhile in a statement issued to the Daily Nation, NDC secretary general, Mwenya Musenge said Mr Kambwili has never at any point sent proxies to try and seek reconciliation with President Lungu, adding that it was all lies.

Mr Musenge said that the reports attributed to Mr Mwila at a public meeting in Kapiri Mposhi were false.  He said at no point did Mr Kambwili use the clergy nor the traditional leadership to try and dialogue with President Lungu.
