A CHONGWE-BASED prophet who allegedly drugged and raped a church member, has been expelled from his church.

The man, identified as Prophet Derrick Zulu, was allegedly posing as a prophet of God in the Embassy Ministries of Chongwe, a senior church
pastor has revealed.

“We have expelled the sex maniac posing as a prophet of God,” senior pastor of Prayer Embassy Ministries of Chongwe, Pastor Malanda has  revealed.

Pastor Malanda told the Daily Nation in an interview that, the prophet who was arrested for allegedly raping a church member only identified as Mary, had been expelled.

“We advised the sister to take the matter to police because suspected criminal acts must not be condoned in the church. If he took advantage of the ladies in our church, we could not allow this to continue.

“He came posing as a prophet of God, but his deeds revealed otherwise. I thought he was a prophet of God and so even my members did not expect any evil from a man of miracles,” Pastor Malanda said.

Pastor Malanda disclosed that, prophet Derrick Zulu’s original church was Mountain of Fire ministries of Lusaka’s Mtendere compound.

‘He came to look for a place of ministry and was with us for about three months. I have since learnt that he was engaged in unspecified activities with other members of my church,” said Pastor Malanda.

“We have done our part as a church and we now wait to see what the police will do since the case is now in their hands,” he said.

Pastor Malanda also alleged that, the prophet had gone to ask for charms to eliminate him.

“I was reliably informed by his prophet friend that he had gone to ask for charms to remove me so he takes over the church,” he claimed.

Prophet Derrick Zulu is on police bond and awaits the due process of the law.
