LUSAKA’S Mandevu constituency PF councilor for Raphel Chota ward 22, Joseph Tamba, has contributed his January and February income to the aged and vulnerable people in his ward.

The beneficiaries included 20 elderly people and seven youths whom Mr Tamba bought food hampers while the youths were also presented with security radios for easy communication with party officials.

Presenting the items to the beneficiaries at the weekend, Mr Tamba said would ensure that the aged in his ward lived a decent life with access to food and not become destitute.

He said although his salary was not sufficient, he would ensure that he shared with the needy in society.

He however warned the youths not to abuse the security radios by impersonating as police officers saying anyone found wanting would be prosecuted and expelled from the party.

“I thought of giving out to the aged as a way of representing Government even though it’s little, but a gift is never small,” said Mr Tamba.
