THE UPND can never win the 2021 elections even if it joined forces with the NDC with the sole purpose of dislodging President Edgar Lungu from office because we have formed an alliance with the people of Zambia, PF youths have said.

National youth executive committee member Francis Robert Kapyanga has said manoeuvres by the UPND to start calling for alliances were laughable as they were an indication that the opposition party was power hungry and desperate.

Mr. Kapyanga said the UPND had turned itself into a loose political canon too desperate for power and that was the reason why it was looking around for alliances with the hope of forming Government.

“We find the UPND’s latest effort towards dislodging President Edgar Lungu and PF through an alliance not only laughable but also a clear show of desperation for power.

“UPND members and their leader Hakainde Hichilema have turned themselves into a loose political cannon, shooting in all directions for help, even from places and individuals that nobody on earth would consider,” Mr. Kapyanga said.

He said the UPND had broken the historical record of being the most desperate party for political alliances in Zambia going by a number of pacts and alliances it has had since coming on the political scene with entities such as MMD, ADD, UNIP, PF, APC, PP, FDD and now the NDC, which he described as a party without a manifesto, leader, and constitution.

He said all the previous alliances that UPND had forged with various parties had failed because Mr. Hichilema was desperate for power and not humble enough to allow other alliance partners take the lead.
