HEALTH Minister Jonas Chanda has urged Zambians not to panic over the Covid-19 vaccine because Government has already decided on the matter.
Dr. Chanda said the type of vaccine and deployment strategy was already in place and would be announced after the next cabinet sitting.
And Dr. Chanda has warned of a possible third wave of Covid-19 between June and July.
He has called on the public to ensure they upscale on prevention by observing the health guidelines.
Meanwhile, Dr. Chanda said no pupil or student infected with the Covid-19 has died from the disease so far and the government would continue to ensure pupils and teachers operate in a safe environment.
Speaking during the Covid-19 update in Lusaka yesterday, Dr Chanda said the country has in the last 24 hours recorded five deaths and 387 new cases, out of 6, 381 tests.
Yesterday marked one year from the time Zambia recorded its first case of Covid-19.
