They want to kill me, HH says

By NATION REPORTER

HAKAINDE Hichilema has accused the State of ploting to kill him.

Mr Hichileam alleged that there were schemes to arrest, poison him and later claim he died of Corona virus (Covid-19).

In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Mr Hichilema claimed the Patriotic Front ( PF) are trying to stop him and his party from contesting the August 12 general elections.

“We are aware that for a long time now, this regime has been scheming on how to eliminate and stop us from seeking public office. Their latest scheme is to have us arrested, throw us into a Police cell and then poison,” he said.

Mr Hichilema also demanded the immediate release of  former Cabinet Minister Ackson Sejani, Mazabuka and Choma Mayors Vincent Lilanda and Javen Simoloka and   Fines Malambo.

The five have been detained by the police in connection with the disappearance of the Hatembos who had sued HH for dispossessing them of their father’s 2000 hectares farm fraudulently.

The matter was time barred and therefore dismised but the family had intended to appeal because of fraud in the manner the farm was taken from them, they argued that fraud could not be time barred. However, before the appeal could be lodged Pheluna and her brother Milton were brought to Lusaka where they signed a letter addressed to Law Association of Zambia stating that they did not wish to appeal and that their lawyers should be disciplined.

The Hatembos have not been seen since except for two press conferences organised by Zitukule Consortium  a Choma based organisation whose chairman Partner Siabutuba has now been picked by police.

Meanwhile, the other remaining brothers have reported the disapearance of Pheluna and Milton to the police and have stated categorically that a family meeting had resolved to appeal the high court decision and did not understand how Pheluna and Miton would have voluntarily signed the statament to the contrary and against the fact that the land was dispossessed irregularly .
