SESHEKE UPND Member of Parliament, Romeo Kang’ombe, who abducted and assaulted two policemen in Muchinga province last year, has been convicted in the Chinsali magistrate court.
According to court records, Kangómbe while in Lavushimanda did abduct and assault two police officers who were assigned to facilitate the smooth passage of the UPND President Hakainde Hichilema and his entourage
He has been convicted on charges of assault of police officers.
Kang’ombe will be sentenced on Monday and has been remanded at Chinsali Correctional Facility.
Chinsali Senior Resident Magistrate, Julius Malata, convicted Kang’ombe yesterday.
