MKAIKA PF aspiring candidate, Yuda Tembo, has donated roofing sheets to the health post to ensure that the maternity wing facility is completed in the constituency.
Mr Tembo told the Daily Nation that he donated iron sheets to Lupando Health Post after he was approached by traditional leaders in the area to assist roof the mothers’ shelter.
Hesaid that the donation was part of his continued support to the people in Mkaika where he hailed from.
Some traditional leaders around Lupando health Post have commended Mr Tembo for the donatio.
Headman Oliver Phiri who was flanked by headman Mkoko Banda and headman Ken Phiri thanked Mr Tembo for the gesture.
Mr Phiri said the iron sheets will go a long way in ensuring that the maternity wing at the Health Post was completed.
Meanwhile, head\man Banda explained that it was very recentlythat they requested for iron sheets from Mr Tembo for the mothers’ shelter and they were happy that the aspirant honored his pledge.
During Mr Tembo’s recent visit to Lupando the headmen lamented that more than 20 villages in the area depended on Lupando Health Post and further complained that infrastructure at the facility was inadequate.
