MONZE GEORGE FACE K-LINE CHALLENGE

By MICHAEL MIYOBA

AFTER shocking and eliminating Kitwe Bullets from the Premier Futsal League (PFL), Monze George will face another tough challenge when they take on tough-tested Kabwe K-Line in the first round PFL semifinals to be played in best of three basis.

Despite being the favourites after beating Livingstone Pirates 3-1 to reach the semis, Kabwe K-Line will be careful not to underrate Monze George following last week’s quarter final results which saw George humble Bullets 4-3 at Automotive Futsal Arena.

George will however go into today’s fixture with nothing to lose as they are considered the underdogs seeking revenge for the two defeats suffered in the last two meetings against K-Line.

Meanwhile, Lusaka Automotive and Chipata Boys will today renew their rivalry when they face off in the first fixture of the semifinal clashes at Automotive Futsal Arena.

Automotive whitewashed CSS Petauke 6-0 to storm the PFL semifinals which will be played in best of three basis.

With Chipata Boys still recovering from an 8-3 drubbing in the PFL Cup final, today’s fixture presents Chipata Boys a perfect chance to seek revenge for their PFL Cup loss.

Chipata Boys will also fight to break Automotive’s unbeaten record in all competitions as the two sides lock horns today.

In round two of the National Division One Futsal League semifinal play offs, Pioneer Avengers will seek redemption when they face Christian Academy who shocked them 5-4 in their last encounter.

After beating BS Stars 5-3 in round one, Lilanda Bullets will target to complete a double over BS Stars to increase their chances of winning promotion to the Premier Futsal League.
