PEOPLE in Nkana should just ignore Thabo Kawana who is trying to pull down my political endeavors with his negative remarks, Patriotic Front (PF) Nkana constituency aspiring candidate Binwell Mpundu has charged.
Mr Mpundu was reacting to remarks by Mr Kawana who told him that he is likely not be adopted on the PF ticket to stand in Nkana constituency.
Mr Kawana said no mature political party would like to adopt Mr Mpundu, charging that has a negative attitude.
But Mr Mpundu, who is former Kitwe District Commissioner, said he would not waste his precious time battling with Mr Kawana.
“Don’t worry about Thabo and his rantings in the name of opinions. Thabo hates me but it’s all good, we understand where he is coming from. It’s a question of him knowing he is wasted his years and so he hates it seeing his young brothers being more productive with their years. Thabo, we will choke you with hard work and you will fail to drink water because of jealousy and temper.
“Any way, I can’t even have battles with Thabo. How can I have battles with Thabo mwebantu? I fight with those who feed Thabo. I mean his paymasters,” Mr Mpundu said.
Mr Kawana said of three aspirants, Christopher Kang’ombe, Binwell Mpundu and Rashida Mulenga, only Mr Kang’ombe could be adopted in Kamfinsa constituency.
He said he was not speaking as a PF, but as a Kitwe Resident who has gotten views of the people on the aspiring candidates.
“On Sunday, we shall know, but I can tell you that from the three partners, my prediction is that Kang’ombe may be adopted but Binwell and Rashida will not. That is my prediction and not a fact. It is based on my little experience. There is no way the PF central committee can adopt you sir. No way!
“I verily believe you will not be adopted but should you be adopted, I will be pleasantly shocked,” Mr Kawana said.
