WESTERN MUST REJECT OPPOSITION – DNA

By NATION REPORTER

THE people of Western Province should reject the opposition this time around because they betrayed them by taking a partisan stance in Parliament on national issues instead of representing their interests, Zambian DNA spokesperson, Spuki Mulemwa has said.

Mr Mulemwa urged people to elect representatives who would work with the government to deliver development in all parts of the province without leaving anyone behind.

“We say so because the government under President Edgar Lungu, has not only demonstrated that they are concerned about the people’s welfare in Western Province, but also ensure that it gets its fair share of the national cake,” he said.

Mr Mulemwa said Government had also initiated various empowerment projects that had benefitted the people despite the region having rejected the PF in the 2016 polls.

“Western Province should not repeat the same mistake this time around of voting for the opposition who are not interested in their welfare,” Mr Mulemwa said.

He said the people should instead reciprocate President Lungu’s goodwill gesture by supporting him and the ruling party as he had showed he cared for them.

Mr Mulemwa said the people should choose to work with the PF and not selfish politicians.
