CANDIDATES from various political parties yesterday took part in meeting called by the Kitwe Pastors Fellowship to pray for peace ahead of the August 12 elections.
Patriotic Front (PF) Wusakile parliamentary candidate Pavyuma Kalobo , PF Mayoral candidate Mpasa Mwaya and Wusakile Independent candidate Ackson Simwizye, Kamfinsa constituency independent candidate Dickson Ng’andwe , Wusakile constituency independent candidate Gloria Shonga, Socialist Party candidate for Bulangililo ward Joseph Chabu attended the meeting which was held at Oasis of Love Ministries International church in Kitwe.
Kitwe Pastors Fellowship President Raddy Lewilla said the church decided to hold a meeting with candidates from various political parties at various positions starting from Local Government, parliamentary and Mayoral .
And speaking in an interview, PF Kitwe Mayoral candidate Mpasa Mwaya said she will strive to carry out her campaigns in a peaceful manner without being provocative in her statements.
“As we campaign, let us ensure that we are peaceful. There is no need to be provocative in our campaign messages. Let us he humble and seek God’s guidance in our campaigns, ” Ms Mpasa said.
